Don't be an ass: credit the artist.

If you’re posting someone else’s work, credit them. Don’t deliberately remove the name of the artist. That’s just wrong. If your reasoning is that it’s own personal scrapbook — then keep it personal, not public. If it’s public, the least you can do is credit the artist and link back to their site, or at least their Wikipedia entry.

Please, no more text underneath the photos unless it’s a link to a tumblr that you have reblogged. The original picture link should be in the ‘click through link’ section. Unneccessary words = clutter.

Not attributing the original artist is indefensible. If your theme is so badly built that a single line of attribution clutters it, you need to change themes.
